Additional Maxell Noise-Cancellation Headphones Information

Reduce outside noise and enjoy your music more! Maxell's HP/NC-II uses microphones in the headphones to detect ambient noise that is interfering with your music. Information from the microphone is fed to the audio enhancer pack where it is analyzed and a precise active noise cancellation wave is generated. When this "anti-noise" wave meets the unwanted noise, the noise is reduced up to 95% so your music comes through loud and clear. With 16Db of noise cancellation, the NCIII has a full range (20 to 22,000hz) of frequency response with Neodymium magnets in a 40mm driver design. In addition to its high-quality stereo sound and superior noise cancellation technology, the Maxell HP/NC-II offers a collapsible design, a 6foot cord, travel pouch, dual prong airline adapter. The NCII is a lightweight closed ear design with longer battery life than most models on the market today, up to 50 hours of battery life. All important benefits to users who travel. Use Maxell's Noise cancellation headphones to enjoy your favorite music, or to simply block out unwanted noise. Road noise and airline noise can cause fatigue, and using noise cancellation headphones can help to reduce this fatigue. You arrive at your destination more energetic as a result. Or use noise cancellation headphones at home or in the office to block out ambient noise to help you concentrate and work more efficiently. The HP/NC-II also will provide sound without battery power, an important consideration for travel and to choose Maxell when purchasing a noise cancellation headphone. The HP/NC-II comes with a 90 day warranty for parts and labor.

What Customers Say About Maxell Noise-Cancellation Headphones:

I hope this 3rd set holds out. The wires seem cheap and faulty. I bought these and had to return them two times. They just stopped working each time. One side always stops working and then the next side follows shortly after.

Overall, this is a very good headphone for the price. I like the long cord as well. The only complaint I have is that they make my head and ears hot when I wear them for long periods of time. I am not a critical audiophile, and to me these give a perfectly fine sound for my listening purposes. I guess I expected it would, but this has not been a disappointment. Overall I have been very happy with these headphones. They are comfortable and the sound is fine for my purposes. The leather around the ears gets very warm after listening for a while causing me to sweat a bit.The noise reduction button works well, but does not completely shut off the outside world.

They are comfortable though, and have great sound, so I guess if you looking more for cheap comfortable headphones these are for you, but don't count on the noise-canceling. I think the previous generation of the same headphones was better than these. I also found there is a odd L-R balance issue.

It does not cancel noise in any appreciable way (just a little bit, may be 10 - 20%).

In addition, the location of the battery pack, in the middle of cord is kind of awkward and adds weight to the cord that just feels weird. Granted, I did travel with them a lot, but they did not live up to my expectations. Overall, I would recommend that you pass on these headphones and buy a better set I bought this set of headphones because I needed a 2nd set of headphones for my computer and I liked to have noise canceling. In less than 6 months, the left headphone has gone out completely, and the right one works sporadically. It also has a tendency to bump into things and make noise.
